In January 2023, Gucci embarked on a new era with the affirmation of an ambitious creative vision. The House seeks to strengthen its fashion authority while reconnecting with its heritage and riches. The new Gucci Eyewear collection embodies modern and sophisticated elegance, with distinctive materials and details inspired by the brand's heritage, creatively blending different eras.
Bold shapes and cut-outs reminiscent of 60s aesthetics are enhanced by faceted effects and metallic temples. Decorative elements incorporate the GG monogram and the openwork Gucci logo, associated with precious pearls. Past and present intertwine in a layered vision, ranging from the classic style of archive models to sporty and futuristic designs.
Gucci logos are constantly reinterpreted. The Interlocking GG logo appears on geometric and enveloping volumes, while the full Gucci logo comes in flat and three-dimensional versions, applied under the lacquer of the temples or adorned with sparkling crystals that also enrich the front of the almond-shaped sunglasses. The Double G comes in different sizes, notably in a miniature version integrated into the temples of acetate and metal models.
Among these timeless codes, the GG Monogram adorns the entirety of the thick metallic structures, while the Web stripe is used through enamel touches, colored temples, and metallic plates on the top of the temples.
The collection also features the limited edition ReAce, made from 100% recycled material from acetate scraps. Each frame presents a unique pattern, created from a blend of earthy shades molded into thick constructions.
